This visa is tailored for professionals with distinct expertise in their respective domains. The unique advantage of the H-1B visa is its provision for dual intent. The O-1 and O-2 applications are also for people with unique abilities and skill sets. In this case, an example would be those who may want to come to the United States to play sports, either collegiately or professionally. Or, perhaps someone with great talent in the arts—anything from film to music—has gotten an opportunity in the United States.

The visas discussed so far are for those seeking some type of employment. What about the investor, whose capital could make increased job opportunities possible? The United States government wants investors from abroad, and sometimes it is easier for an investor to commit if they are residing in this country. Depending on the amount of money involved, we use either an E-1 or E-2 application.
